If Destroyed Still True is a personal zine by Nine. Each issue is 20 pages, mostly hand-lettered. Issue 1 (print run: 300) is now sold out and there are no plans to reprint it. Issue 2 is about loss: break-up and bereavement. It's about hitch-hiking to a funeral, figuring out how to spend time right after losing somebody, and learning how to cope. Nine felt the time was right to make a zine dealing with the topic of grief and her mother’s death. The result is an acutely tender collection of writing that is part diary, part post-script, part letter and part list. It is difficult for me to know what to write about a zine that is so incredibly personal, but what this zine communicates is a story of two amazing people.Issue 3 is about bereavement as time goes on, family, identity, travel, and abusive relationships. [I]t’s wonderful. It deals with grief, travel, relationships, love, memory, and the small spaces where we eke out our lives. It is one of those photocopy cut-up jobs, maps and bits of found paper, but the writing in it is subtle, moving, and singingly charged. Each zine costs 50p. Below are the costs including postage and paypal charges (second class to UK; airmail to overseas):
